Dynasty Dysected

Hey guys, i just got the Dynasty Dysected DVD. It's nothing mind blowing , but they do go over all the important stuff and its a nice thing to watch again and again to keep you sharp on the basics. I have a copy of it for all the team members.

Promotion

Well, I just got word today that I will be starting my new job tomorrow. My new job will involve all the old work i did as part-time video editor as well as the duties of the promotions assistant. Which means, I get an office and MORE MONEY! Which means good things for the team and my paintball playing...

ALSO, today we got our first (sort of) sponsership. Tripper contacted the makers of the Nox chips, which are add-in chip which give your gun new firing modes, etc, and asked them about a sponsership and they said they would send him two chips. So... its a start. Stay tuned for future sponsership news.

Next practice

The next team practice will be July 23rd at Off limits. It will be scrimmage day there so the only expense will be paint which is $50 a case. So anyone else who might be interested in joining the team is welcome to show up and play with us. I know Tripper, Nick and myself(Jeremy) will be there. Hopefully John and some others will show as well.

Tentative Tournament Schedule

At this time I thought I would go ahead and throw out a tentative 3-man tournament schedule for the Jolly Green Giants for the next few months. I am trying to organize our tournaments in a way that will challenge us and give us plenty of good experience, while having good potential for winning 1st place.
So right now I'm thinking:

August 5- OFF Limits(Shreveport, LA)
August 12- OFF Limits
September 23- JC Paintball(Bismark, AR)
November 18- JC Paintball JC CUP.

JC paintball also has a 5-man series, but until we lock down a few more players I will not make plans of any kind for 5-man. But I do look forward to playing 5-man, just need a few more good players., which brings me to my next point- We NEED to recruit more players!
So... keep a look out.
And if anyone reading this thinks they have what it takes and is interested, just let me know and we will definitely give you a shot.

Jolly Greens Win tourney, but take 2nd place...

Well, after a nice smooth round of matches at off limits, we ended up beating every single team we went up against in the finals...and took second place. Long story short, for anyone that hasn't heard first hand, we won all our finals games but in the very last game we played we received a penalty which stripped us of many of our hard earned points and left us in second place. But, it was a fun event, and we got in some very good experience, and know what to do for the next event. Thanks guys, you all played great.
